My love for Tim Gunn just grows and grows. I wonder if I should write him a letter to this effect. Hmm.
Dear Tim, "I love thee to the depth and breadth and height my scarf can reach." *
Check out "The Seventeen Films That Shaped Tim Gunn" on Vulture. All the movies on his list are mandatory Fabulous Alert viewing and the summations are priceless.

For The Film Lover

Name That Movie ($12.70) Amazon

Those kids at Chronicle Books always publish the coolest stuff. This is the latest nifty gifty that caught my attention.

"In Name That Movie, celebrated illustrator Paul Rogers tests our visual knowledge of the world of cinema, highlighting both obscure and instantly recognizable references to 100 classic films, from the golden age of cinema to the blockbusters of today. The rules of the game are simple: each film gets six line drawings, delivered in sequence, and-here's the clincher-no movie stars. Complete with answer key and index, this elegant gift book will delight cinephiles who will see their favorite films in a whole new light." Amazon

Mondays can be mediocre at best. This clip from Ballerina, a documentary that follows the lives of five Russian ballerinas, is anything but. It might be one of the most beautiful moments ever caught on film.

Titanic: Downton On Ice?

From ITV Online

"From the creative minds of Julian Fellowes, Academy Award (Gosford Park), Emmy and Golden Globe winner (Downton Abbey), and BAFTA-winning producer Nigel Stafford Clark (Bleak House) comes the highly anticipated ABC Premiere Event, Titanic, a four-part miniseries that will premiere SATURDAY, APRIL 14 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Parts One-Three will air on April 14, and the miniseries will conclude with Part Four on SUNDAY, APRIL 15 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET), which will actually mark the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic on April 15, 1912.
Titanic is an extraordinary re-telling of the doomed voyage that cleverly weaves action, mystery and romance over four hours and two nights of programming. Shot in Budapest, Hungary, it features both fictional and historical characters, ranging from steerage passengers and crew to upper class guests and staff, who all come together in an explosive and unforgettable finale. Each hour follows similar events from different points of view, culminating in a cliff-hanger, as the ship begins to founder, and building to an explosive conclusion in the final hour that draws together all the stories. Viewers will be taken on a heart-wrenching journey through Titanic's last moments, as it's revealed who among the characters they've come to know so well will survive, and who will not." ABC Online
I'll bite. With Julian Fellowes at the helm, this is going to be more about the human drama and less about all that special effects nonsense.

Move Over Tangerine Tango

DVF Napkin Rings ($30 Set 4) Bloomingdales

No disrespect to Tangerine Tango, but yellow is also making quite a stir this season. I'm not making any predictions about 2013 because Mimosa was the color of year in 2009. However, I will note that Green hasn't been given any love in a long time.

Bernard Pivot, The Musical

If heaven exists, God would tell me that everyday in heaven people periodically break out into song. Glee is the earthly television equivalent and the cast will be on Bravo's Inside The Actors Studio tonight at 8.
"Currently in its 18th season, host James Lipton is joined by cast members Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and co-creator Ryan Murphy. From Chris Colfer’s never-before-seen audition tape to Lea Michele’s first big break on Broadway to Cory Monteith’s troubled past, no stone is left unturned as they give viewers an inside look into their fascinating careers and reveal behind-the-scene stories from the set of the hit series." -Bravo

Watch Watch What Happens Live

A special all-star edition of Watch What Happens Live featuring 35 Bravolebrities is tonight's must-watch, however I fear they'll all be on their best behavior. My advice to them is to act up as much as possible to ensure screen time. I hope Andy's clubhouse is big enough for all this crazy. Tune in at 11 and find out.

The Killing Season Two

"Does Anyone Remember What The Sun Looks Like?"

I can scarcely contain my glee. The season two premiere of The Killing airs tonight at 8 on AMC. I for one didn't mind the herky-jerky ending of season one that apparently upset quite a few viewers. I mean it stands to reason that a mystery based on a Danish show is going to have a red herring or two. As for The Killing's killer, with a setting that's dark, moody and cold, perhaps they all did it. I wonder if seasonal effective disorder could be used as a defense.
